I highly recommend avoiding Kramer Architects. We had a horrible experience on a large expensive addition project where Mark Kramer did not listen to our requests for the project and then disappeared once work started. In hindsight there were major design flaws. These actions ended up costing us significantly more to get the project to a less than ideal outcome, which still has not achieved our goals. This would be a zero stars if that was an option.

Mark Kramer has consulted and designed several projects for me. Most recently he designed a total kitchen make over. Mark has an uncanny ability to assess the true needs of a desired project. He begins by listening to your description of what you think you want, and then turns your concept on it's head and sketches and describes a design far beyond what you had conceived but which fits your needs and desires precisely. The results fit your personal tastes and integrate beautifully into the rest of your home. The construction contractors he recommends are always first rate and his ongoing supervision of the construction insures that your project results are of the finest quality and are finished in an appropriate amount of time.

Mark was extremely helpful and insightful with the floor plan and design of our interior remodel, including an addition, of our 1936 home. He has a remarkable ability to optimize the use of space and to see things that other people miss. I would absolutely rely on Mark and his expertise when I decide to do another home remodel project!

I have used Kramer Architects over the years on several occasions for my home. The projects vary from a spectacular art studio addition, a screened in porch artistically tied into the exiting architecture of my home and bathroom renovations. It was more than just the outcome that pleased us. The process, working with Mark from beginning to end was stress free. He designs, bids to contractors and most importantly oversees the project, while remaining flexible and professional. I highly recommend Mark Kramer.

Beginning in 1994, we employed Kramer Architects on three separate occasions, each time getting a remodeling that more than met our needs. Each job was within our budget, met our physical needs and looked like it had always been part of our house. Mark Kramer and his associates spent substantial time before making drawings in getting to know our family’s needs and how we would use the new space. Then he worked to create those spaces: a 2-story addition on our former house including a large kitchen and home office, a new deck and beautiful screened-in porch with vaulted ceiling, and a total renovation of a recently purchased condo. We have recommended Kramer Architects to many friends and neighbors and will continue to do so. Susan and Bert King
