Christiansen-Arner Sculpture and Landscape Design

Cherie Christiansen and Franz Arner are Stone Sculpture Artists that have been carving stone for thirty years. They combine a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of stone with an aesthetic that is considered to be contemporary sculpture. Their pieces have been commissioned for a wide range of residential and commercial settings. These include many private collections world wide, water sculptures for wineries in the California Wine Country, such as, The Grace Family Vineyards in St. Helena, California and several hotels like, The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley, California. Their sculptures have also been shown in many art galleries. They are currently working on commissions for both commercial and residential settings. Each of their sculptures is unique and one of a kind. They choose to approach sculpture as a living art form and not from a manufacturing viewpoint. Their pieces are original works of contemporary sculpture. Often they are asked to create sculptures for site specific spaces. These sites range from places in the landscape outdoors, to entry ways, to interior places in the home or work place. Often with site specific pieces they have designed the space surrounding the sculpture.
