good idea - may need to do something like this if we can't get in a pantry. Island with drawers helps too.

Kind of a similar floor plan to ours. Imagine a short hallway & door out to the driveway with a small extension on other side of cook wall for pantry and/or laundry (and taking out the current laundry room wall, of course!)
I like the tall, glass fronted corner cabinet(s). Seems like a good idea for a typically difficult to access space.

Upper East Side Townhouse - this is a remodeling 1930's kitchen. I like the ceiling crown and rounded area above the little plant shelves. Also like the oval island. I prefer that people can face each other - not four seats in a straight line.

I like so much of this. However, I think a deeper overhang on the island is needed to allow a decent amount of room for legs. I like the use of 2 sides of the island for seating.
What if we moved the laundry room to the driveway side of the house and shifted the kitchen inward?
like the cottage details - feet on the cabinets, arched window, glass front cabinets. would like drainage grooves in the counter.
