waterproof master bath with glass shower wall I prepared full size templates for the glass fabricator. I installed the glass, not the fabricator. It is a Hydroslide, but pretty much nothing else Hillcrest said is true. The controls are on the left off camera, and the operator does not get wet, until they walk under the shower head or flip to the hand shower. There is no channel on the side. Water does not easily spray out during normal use. This is a waterproof bathroom using Schluter Kerdi and Ditra membranes. It is OK to flood the floor for cleaning. Water will drain in to the shower. It will not leak or escape through risers, or toilet waste or doorways. The reason I set the bottom of the glass in to the tile is I don't want metal channels, or allow anybody else to install them. They are ugly, and mostly they are screwed through the membrane. The way I do it is waterproof. Completely waterproof

Towel bars can be mounted between 36 and 42 inches (91 to 107 centimeters) above the floor along their horizontal centerline. If you are taller or use extra-large bath sheets, consider raising them to 48 or 50 inches (122 to 127 centimeters). Most ceilings will be 8 feet high in smaller bathrooms. In the sketch shown, the top of the mirror and the top of the tile in the shower align with the top of the window.
Should you choose to have a glass enclosure, as in this bath, consider how high you would like to have the glass reach. Showers that have a steam function need to be completely enclosed, as seen here. Otherwise, the top of the glass should reach at least 76 inches (193 centimeters) above the floor. You may want to coordinate the height with the tiles or other wall finishes, or with the height of the windows and doors in the room.

White finishes can make any space look bigger, but they’re especially effective in a bathroom. Since a bathroom typically has lots of white fixtures already (the tub, toilet and sink, for example), using white for other surfaces creates a seamless look that makes the space appear as airy as possible. Note that using lots of white doesn’t mean the space has to lack character. Using different textural elements such as molding, pale stone or tile and fabric accents, as well as the occasional touch of metallics or wood, will retain the seamless look while still giving the eye lots of richness to take in.
Before you go out and purchase new items, take a walk through your home to see if you can repurpose a few things you already own. Ceramic cups and dishes from the kitchen can be used as plant pots, toothbrush holders and soap dishes, and all sorts of storage baskets can be put to work holding towels and extra supplies.

Kohler Brockway 5' cast iron trough sink The sink was mounted per the specifications from Kohler. Since it is on an outside wall we added a 1/2 wall behind the sink to accommodate the plumbing and some extra blocking. The granite cap was a bonus for a place to set toothbrushes, etc.
