Farmhouse porch and Entry
I love this "attached to wall" idea! I also notice that this entryway is busy enough that no runner is needed. This type of coat rack resembles the free-standing coat rack but offers a slimmer, more stable design....antique semicircular hat stand because it saved space in the narrow hallway. For additional entryway organization, she recommends that people find a designated place for shoes, gloves, hats, keys and anything else they drop once they enter the front door.
I like the rounds and squares and lines in this display
Repurpose glass front China hutch to upstairs hallway (linen closet?)
4 framed art over Demi-lune table in foyer
MOre sparkly foyer fixture, and sparkly in DR
Another way to fill space above smaller doors. Compare costs of taller glass doors with shorter doors + transom so...?
Don't forget fans for front and back porches/patios!
Phase II wainscoting -- semi-glass will keep walls cleaner and reflect more light?
Open console with shelf and huge baskets may work well to hide clutter. This approach may work well on fron porch too...and add texture?
See use of drapes on out edges of porch. This woul look nice on left side of farmhouse
Very shallow metal plate rack with collections over washstand (or similar). Notice ceiling and lamp lighting to highlight this space.
Sorta our layout. Hope to have Windows-doors open to view in back. Consider moving BR door at top of stairs (to left) IF it works for budget, and MA BA addition. Alternative is to trump l'oeil or other treatment to make door less noticeable. Really like the mirror at top of stirs. Think about this for any future hallway. At farmhouse, may e able to install pretty mirror at top of stairs when you turn right
Way to beef up front porch around main entry?
Love this...ransom window, double doors, pretty light fixtures and fans
Idea for lighting and shelving around window in upper landing of staircase.
LOVE the idea of creating straight line to outdoor view from front door. This example is awesome. Love the design and balance of circles and squares!
New double door entry into basement from hallway. Storage and lighting options
Lots of Amy's to make porch more inviting, including lattice on side to provide protection & privacy. Love the variety of seasonal flowering plants and more robust borders..
Lucite shelves with displays, including specialty lighting.
Use tall vertical elements wherever possible in farmhouse - entry, Fplc, or view behind dining table view (if doors are not installed to hi light light to outside view).
Like the entrance door and drapes for privacy or light control when desired. Also like extra staircase off to side of house.
Covered entrance design for guest house
Prettier fence & gate in the future
Idea to enhance entry door focal point.
Glass door with shades if needed
Ideas for updated entrance
A more grand entrance, lighting, columns, curved railing etc that can be adapted to farmhouse.
Idea to create more of a focal point at front entry door.
Beautiful addition and quality steps, railings and columns. Nice greenery. Shutters proportion to house...?
Circle drive and extra triangle facade over front door
Stairs
Eyeball light on art in staircase
Upgrade columns and entrance staircase
Not this fancy, but something open and graduated with more graceful railings.
Think about foyer and hallway lighting and don't forget the dimmers!, may like to have small tread lights as nighlights
(Sisal?) Runner on steps for softness/quietness. Also like quiet wall art and interesting benches. No runner in hallway...?
..or maybe just a bench with interesting lines on stair landing?
