Bathroom
Splashback?
MS: Porcelain floor tiles, metro tiles (no bevels) on wall.
MS: Good proportions of sink and storage underneath? Often the storage is exactly the same size as the sink, which looks odd. Storage also serves to hide pipework while keeping the floor free.
MS: Almost wetroom (low-profile tray). I think I'd be okay with this setup. Also like the shower rose. (Not mounted on ceiling, but near enough.) [SP prefers softer transitions/less shadows/more even lighting.]
MS: Good layout/setup: wall-hung toilet, ledge/niche, lots of mirrors (with storage behind).
MS: Don't really like the way this comes together, but the tiles are interesting, as is the bench in the shower. Would love a shower rose in the ceiling!
SP: A bit of wood softens up the look. MS: Like all of this. Shower area close to ideal.
MS: Industrial look.
Unusual tile shapes / partly tiled wall above sink
Small herringbone tiles.
Wall tiles, floating mirror
Tiling (floor & walls)
Tiles
Wall tiles
Tile trim (on niche above the sink)
Off-white grout softens things up, easier to keep clean.
Nice (big) bathroom. Shower niche for stuff.
Wooden shower floor is nice but probably difficult to clean & needs more space?
Floor tiles.
Very similar cabinet, but doesn't look too bad. Because not floating?? Also, completely enclosed shower area, not level with floor.
Full-width rectangular cabinets under basin don't work that well. Maybe because it's floating? Too close to shower?
MS: I do like this layout: basin w/ niche above, mirrored storage above, in-niche lighting. Think it's slightly better to flip the toilet basin around (for us) but this would be okay too if necessary.
Interesting tiles?
MS: Looks like wood (like sauna!) but these are actually tiles. ($$$$?)
MS: Slab of log is pretty. Think we generally prefer freestanding/self-supporting basin though.
MS: Slightly brave move with the tiles, but they kinda work.
Another slightly awkward storage under the sink--why doesn't this look comfortable?
MS: Nice wet room setup, inc. tiles. Need a freestanding holder for toilet rolls?
I'd install the towel rail on the sink
