Really like the gold pulls I think. Never considered them. SY: gold is useful because it warms up a cold scheme and also is high contrast so lends an energy to a space. Black and polished metals do that too. If you're going for spa, brushed is better. If you're going for energy and crisp, higher contrast fixtures help achieve that.

This might be nice for bathroom on main floor. Not floating, but open on bottom. SY: agree if you feel you have enough storage.

Love tile stripe. SY: this tile stripe is particularly well done (they often swing and miss). If you did a rich blue vanity in the boys' bath, this could be very fun.

SY: this floor is cool and graphic and less trendy than the hexes. I much prefer the green vanity to the light blues, myself. You could do this scheme with some pop of rich, fun color on the vanity for the boys though. I'll find a couple examples.

Like the overall look. Thick counter top. Vertical tile on wall. Tall mirrors and lighting works. Colors are nice. Don't love vanity pulls. SY: I much prefer these mirrors to the round pair. Love the vertical tile, too - and less trendy than the hex, as is the greenish vanity vs. blue or navy. I really like this one. More interesting and timeless than the one on the right, which feels very 2018 trying too hard to me. (Do I sound harsh? lol)

This is good compromise. Seems clean enough for Chris, but full size vanity that isn't floating for Karen. We both like the mirror, light, and tile. One of fav's. SY: Gotcha. I like the effect generally. The navy and gray and white, with black and brass. Though this is about as good an application of two round mirrors as I've seen, it's not a look I love. One round mirror: absolutely. Two read like portholes, and make lighting and proportions tricky.

This vanity is OK. Not favorite, but not horrible. SY: it's quite detailed - more detailed than we almost ever do, TBH. I don't dislike it, but simple/clean it is not - and you have to love detail to want to clean it. (Unless you were talking about the color?)

Wood and open seems to warm it without too much clutter --- seems a compromise between sleek and cluttered. SY: agree. Wood (and brass too, and leather) warm up otherwise clean spaces that might be too cold without it.

Like timbers and hanging gold lights with vanity having gold pulls but white. Floor isn't so cool. SY: definitely agree about the floor. Interesting about the timbers -the drawings are showing flat ceilings. Are you saying you may like to add faux beams? Also, who likes this? Both of you? Are these comments all representative of joint opinions?

wall tile and black is pretty. would want more of a closed vanity. SY: you like the larger hexagons like this? Or just white tile with dark grout, tying to other dark elements?

Deciding how we feel. Like the wood and open but not sure about clutter. SY: I also don't love the weight distribution of this bathroom: white under wood - especially a fairly massive wood structure like this - feels top heavy. I may be able to get behind this functional IDEA in some way... if the finishes were swapped around... depending also on the floor material.
