I like the use of wall paneling to add sophistication and detail. This sink looks annoyingly too small though.
I do not like the use of shiplap as a wall covering.
I like how clean this looks with a touch of antiquity. I also like the use of natural light in the space.

For a screened in side porch I like the thought of exposed wood on the underside of the ceiling

I dislike how open the space is. I like the thought of the kitchen and dining being attached but that the living room/area should be a bit more defined.
I like the use of counter height windows for a portion of the kitchen (assuming its overlooking the backyard and not a side yard)
We often host people and so I like the thought of a dedicated space for drinkware, wine storage, and making cocktails
I like how this layout allows for a hosting space that's separate from the prep/cooking area. Sizing may be off for our needs but I like the approach.
I like the use of open shelves in a kitchen (with no brackets) but do not want to use it for any storage for plates/bowls/glassware due to dust.
I dislike having two levels for the stools. I'd rather have pop up outlets if needed.

I hate this. The wood grain is subdued in the cabinets and the space just looks so stark and lifeless.
I love the black soapstone (?) countertops. I love the look of a hardwood countertop but I don't love the maintenance associated with it.
I mentioned this in another photo, but I like the two toned nature of painted cabinets with wood cabinets (in this example the wood cabinets being part of the island). I like how this kitchen has a bit more of a defined space compared to the living area while still being accessible. Overall this space is too white/stark though
I dislike spotlight style under cabinet lighting. I prefer a diffused led strip that runs the full length of the cabinet at an angle so there's even lighting. This kitchen would be too large for our needs by a longshot. I also don't like how this verges on just looking dark rather than warm.
I don't like tile in the kitchen compared to wood floors. I also don't like how two of the chairs have their backs to the sink area. I do appreciate the fun pop of color through the backsplash.
I love the warmth of this photo from natural materials, pops of color, and warm lighting fixtures (with brighter task lights). I don't live the mix of brass, nickel, and black accents all in once space.

I like having a more defined space for the range area and how the backsplash for it ties in to the rest of the backsplash. I dislike the relative lack of counter space for the size of the kitchen or having a sink in the island.
I love the use of natural wood for cabinets (particularly walnut and white oak). I also like the island being painted /separate tone from the rest of the cabinetry. I don't like how the walnut cabinetry and flooring play off each other, or having a separate prep sink in the island.
