Master Bathroom
I think I've saved this already
dont like how thick the top rail is but I do like the towel/handrails on each side
I like the downward curve and facing lights and brushed nickel. 5 lights helps span my 60" single sink vanity.
I like the slight curve and the fact that I can use standard light bulb. I also like the opal glass shades.
Here's a crazy idea on how to make the shower feel bigger if I'm limited to a 36" wide shower pane - frame in slightly along the 60" side creating a continuous ledge rather than an niche. The ledge would be at an easy to reach height but would leave the "head space" area feeling larger than the foot print. Does that make sense? Disregard the ledge or bench beneath the shower head.
I like that this is 76" high and it comes in brushed nickel
alternative to tile base.
finally a vanity. I've been so focused on showers. I like wood and legs. It would be nice to reflect the cherry wood bedroom set - rich, warm wood. A darker floor is nice too. While the carpet will definitely be changing in the next 5-10 years, have the flooring be a continuation in the tone would be nice. Also, the bathroom is not that big so I'm happy with a single sink and one expansive mirror. Not sure if I would be happy with a framed mirror unless it was super big.
this is interesting. If I did this pony wall on the end where the shower head is, could I forego a shower door all together even with a shower pan? I see this is a no threshold shower. Speaking of which, I realize there is a lot more to do for a no threshold shower. That said, I have a sense there may be water damage under my current shower pan so there may be extensive work needed anyway.
While I have said I want a sliding shower door, this is a nice use of a hinged door although I would have hinged it on the other side so the bather could easily grab one of those rolled towels. I like the idea of less shower glass to clean and sliding doors certainly have that overlap area that you can't get to. Another thought on this photo, I've often thought it would be nice to have a built-in seat in the shower and if that were the case, maybe that built-in seat could include a cubby or cabinet on the outside of the shower. the shower pan of course would be smaller. Hard to describe with words. Maybe a sketch later.
I do NOT like the subway tile or the inset tile or the gold fixtures. I want the inset to "recede" but this seems to pop out at you.
I like the shower door. I like the verticle pattern in the shower. I'm not inclined to use tiny tiles on the shower base since it would be a major slime collector. If small tiles were used in the shower base, I would prefer pebbles. Otherwise, I would like a solid fiberglass base that is easy to clean and keep clean.
I do NOT like the tile treatment in this one. Really weary of teensy subway tile.
This is cool treatment of floor tiles. I'm inclined to go with high end vinyl but I do like this look.
I love the different tile in the inset, the towel rod or grab rail and the large marble shower tiles. And the colors.
The mirror and floating vanity.
