Val's Kitchen
An example of a dark floor with the light maple cabinets. The kitchen is underlit to be moody, but I think it would work just as well with good lighting.
This is a nice color combination with the maple cabinets. I like the floor and wall color.
Maple cabinets with dark gray countertops, kind of like yours.
More wood floors with wood cabinets.
These are darker cabinets but it gives you an idea of how cozy it can feel to have wood floors and cabinets in the kitchen.
This maple kitchen is a good example of using color to break up a line of boring sameness. The orange hood and island with a different color base keeps it interesting.
It's a lot of similar tones but it works. The pops of darker trim help keep it interesting.
Cinammon maple cabinets with an oak floor looks pretty good. the bold accents help. I don't like the backsplash, however. The lighting is beautiful, though and adds an artistic flair.
Light floors and pale hardware give this kitchen a feeling as though it is floating.
An example of how cabinets and floors can have the same tones and it still lookks great. This is because of the contrast of the black/dark hardware and the whites on the trim.
Check out this crazy floor and backsplash!
I like how this floor wlooks with the cabinets. The soft green walls are interesting.
Light floors with maple cabinets.
Maple contrasts the dark hardware.
Obviously too bold for your kitchen but the color in the backsplash marrys well with the maple cabinets. Black/bronze accents add drama.
I thought some cubby cabinets like the ones shown here on the top of the upper cabinets, might add some interest to your kitchen and break up the boring long line of cabinets.
This is lovely and almost looks like stone.
