Love the blue/gray lower cabinets. Lauren has a horror of muted blues that stray too far from green after "The Powder Blue Christmas." This one is just flirting with disaster. Love the white upper cabinets, white subway tile backsplash. Lauren is easily overwhelmed by too many colors and patterns - varied, monochromatic textures are appreciated. Like the formality of the seating at the island. The hood is dreamy but not necessary. Lauren appreciates the warm metal with the dark blue and accepts the nickel with the white cabinets. Not sure what style these cabinets are, but we like them. Jamelle- what she said.
Lauren is all about the deep navy. Jamelle is amenable to blue/gray lower cabinets, but this is a bit much. Like the light, airy white cabinets above. Too much going on with the bar stools. Lights too modern. Like the Shaker cabinets. Like unobtrusive refrigerator. Would prefer a warm brassy metal, particularly with this blue, or a farmhouse black.
Not a big fan of the glossy finish
Like the built in shelves, brass downlighting, window seat. Hate the armchair and rug.
Love the moulding, couch, gold accents
Love everything, except maybe the roman blind. Love the shelve color, lighting, millwork. The coffee table is meh. The couch is nice, though it gets a lil floppy and a little more contrast with the wall color would be nice.
We like a whole lot about the Pine Library: The window seat; the color, weight, and trim of the shelves; the heft and broken-in-by-a-sea-captain-ness of the sofa (though we've also thought about a deep blue/green velvet Chesterfield type), the formality of the armchair. We don't love the rug (too modern, would prefer something more Moroccan), the chandelier, or the orange (would prefer warmth to come from wood/leather/brass vs dye),
We both love this, just not the white fireplace, and Lauren wants the blue to be more saturated and/or green (eye roll)
Shelves, lights, wood, leather. Love the color and feel of desk, could be daintier.
L: Love the desk - a much smaller one for the hearth room. HATE the green.
You can just boop up the ceilings a skosh, right?
Jamelle's dream dining room that Lauren also likes. We love the wallpaper, millwork, chandelier, and lighting.
So close, but too beige
Like the wallpaper being more mural than pattern
Love this wallpaper, chandelier, scale of the millwork though the dentil molding is too busy.
Love this wallpaper. Furniture and curtains are a bit too formal.
NO - This gave Lauren narcolepsy.
We love this, but just lighter. Or with $30,000 hand-painted silk wallpaper. Thx.
Just really like the foreground wall.
J: This wrapping drawer! L: K.
J: I love the idea of a regularly accessible ironing board without dealing with the stand on the ground L: Y'all ever seen those LG Stylers?
J: I like the working surface above (or near) the washer dryer for folding. I wonder if we couldn't use the black countertops in the kitchen for this. L: I really don't know that we need a sink in the laundry area. I'm not trying to store clean linens in there. The space would be better used to sort and hide dirty laundry.
This color is beautiful, and I like the idea of a rod to hang items right out of the dryer before they go back into the closet
J: love this hidden corner for the cat litter in the laundry room L: You have to drag it out to clean it? And it's just open?
Love the look of the cabinets, but there is nowhere to fold or iron.
Love
Like the wallpaper, but one wall at most. Like the bed, too. We seem to be of two minds. Jamelle leans toward muted colors, soft headboard. Lauren leans toward bolder wall, four poster bed.
Lauren wants a secret door in the bedroom. Lauren wrote that. She's insane. I like the wallpaper, but it's not blue.
We love this. xo
This is Lauren's favorite painting, even though her nightmare magic truffle trip kicked in while she was looking at it in Amsterdam. Something feels a bit tacky about wallpapering with it though...
We're intrigued by this framing of the bed, lighting, shelving. We suspect it might induce claustrophobia and serve none of the actual function of a bedside table.
J: The lighting over the bed is beautiful.
We like the richness of the lighting and the formality, though usually like more color.
Jamelle loves the fur and sparkle.
Moulding, light, formality
We love this chandelier
J: This is fine, too, but there are too many lights on that light.
J: This is totally fine.
Lauren loves warm wood in a closet and drawers with organizers for belts, ties, pocket squares, even shoes.
Lauren likes the interest on the cabinet doors and drawers (wouldn't want slab or too many clean surfaces or glass doors)
love the accent wall behind our desks for Lauren's comedy posters and art/diplomas
