Standalone mandirThis standalone mandir cabinet is a miniature version of the thousands of glorious temples that dot our country. The rows of bells on the doors are an ode to the masses of bells that hang from a typical temple ceiling. Only here, the bell mosaic has been flipped ninety degrees to fit the facade of the puja cabinet.
Sleek puja consoleThis minimalist corner exudes a soothing ambience. With the only token of worship being a beautiful pair of idols at the far end of the room, twin spotlights seek to keep the focus on the puja platform. A marble-topped stool sits in the centre of the room, serving as a pleasing centrepiece. Tip: Creating a small bespoke puja space with a retractable screen is a good option if you do not have any spare corners in your home.
Elevated puja platformThis home features an elevated puja platform to distinguish the zone of worship from the rest of the living room. The space carved out for this platform could have been a dining area that was repurposed to feature a shrine. Notice how the industrial pendant lamp and recessed lighting pair with the sequence of petite bronze bells. The platform is an emblem of modern-day design with an ethnic twist.
