They wanted a peaceful setting to enjoy between their trips to the exotic destinations. We decided to create a design that revolved around their prized fabric collages with an Asian theme.The subdued color scheme - cream, shades of green and gold would relate to their wooded surroundings.
They wanted new "comfy chairs". The 6'4" husband requested a recliner and since they wanted matching chairs. I needed to find one that accommodated her 5'5" frame as well. I chose a model with a swivel feature, so that they could have the option of turning them to face the simple low profile L shaped sectionals that I placed in the niches on either side of the fireplace to maximize seating when have their children or groups over. The Asian motif carries throughout in the gingko leaf wall art, the console table, earthy green garden stools, pagoda lamp and barrel shaped lamp table.
