St. Paul Victorian Classic Kitchen Remodel
Looking to update their kitchen in design and functionality, but still maintain the character and era of the existing home, homeowners of this 1887 St. Paul came to Castle to turn their dysfunctional kitchen into a space they could truly enjoy. To create a more efficient work triangle, the layout was changed and appliances were relocated. The range was moved from the island to the exterior wall, creating a full prepping island and maximizing countertop space. The Soapstone countertops enhance the characteristics of the home, while still making it fill renewed. Existing cabinets were replaced with a simpler designed door and painted a buttercream yellow; meanwhile open shelving was put in next to the fridge to showcase some of the homeowner’s dishes and glassware. The change is drastic and better suits the homeowner’s needs, all while still maintaining original integrity of the home itself.
