This is what we call a hop-up or a tub/shower. The existing tub stayed in place and after the tile install was complete a refinish company re-coated the porcelain on the tub. Tile install is a 12x12 on the shower walls w/ a 2x2 slate stone accent tile and 6x6 porcelain on diagonal to the ceiling. The wall edges along with the recessed shampoo niche was trimmed w/ a 3x12 surface bullnose. Flooring is an 18x18 on diagonal and all the plumbing fixtures are a Kohler "Devonshire" line in brushed nickel finish.
