Refined Elegance Master Bath Remodel: North Wales, PA
The master bath is a space in which to relax and escape from everyday stresses. Each element in this bathroom was specifically designed and custom built for our client. The shower was designed without a door to eliminate a door swing from entering the space, and the half walls surrounding the shower allow for privacy while still providing openness. A freestanding soaking tub is nestled into a niche surrounded by windows on two sides which provide natural light and beautiful views. A custom seat bench across from the tub serves as additional storage and a place to sit while waiting for the tub to fill. The vanity area exudes a warm, rich feel with its dark cherry cabinetry, and it contrasts with the light and airy feeling of the rest of the space. Complementing the design of the vanity is a make-up area located in an alcove where a small linen closet had previously existed. An intricate, custom designed tile layout was incorporated in the shower giving a very opulent and elegant look. The harlequin border and inserts give this shower unqiue detailing, and the pebble shower floor adds a spa-like feel to the space. Roman Travertine and neutral colored tile was used throughout the space to add warmth.
