New stair with closets
This new stair was built in space left over from shrinking a large bedroom. A series of closets for the bedroom occupies the empty space over the stair. But additionally, since the the stair is over three-feet wide, and the closets needed to be only two-feet deep, a narrow, vertical light well was afforded in the remaining stairway width.
