Lake Shore Drive Residence
The architecture of this space was designed by Jaffe Architectural Group, and the interior design was provided by Wells & Fox Interiors. LG Construction was the general contractor.
The upper cabinets are painted white lacquer to match, and the base cabinets are stained to match on quartered walnut. This is a contemporary design, but the mixed finishes and textures (including stainless steel-wrapped valances) provide both warmth and variety. In order to maintain the clean appearance, we had to make sure our tolerances were consistent. The upper walnut border continues throughout the kitchen to the opposite wall, a unique detail we were excited to build.
