Italianate Garden
The garden was designed to reflect the owners' unusual home. Their home was formerly a 19th century Italianate water tower made using only pink natural limestone and octagonal in shape. The owners wanted a design that would complement such an unusual building and transform their outdoor dining courtyard and showcase their collection of herbaceous and edible plants.
Central to this design is a sandstone octagonal patio. Pink Indian sandstone slabs were hand picked to complement the building. Also a bespoke rustic arch was attached to the side of the tower its shape and style mirrors the window frames around the house. We complemented the existing green picket fence by continuing this theme throughout the courtyard and attached these to the raised vegetable beds.
