114mm Blades, Light and Airy
A customer recently called Signature Shutters and Blinds to ask for advice on a solution to the windows in their living area. As the apartment was located with in sight of the beach, the customer wanted to retain their views, but also have privacy when needed. Our team went out to see the customer to lend their expertise.
As the windows had deep reveals and since the home was located so close to the beach, our team suggested using plantation shutters with 114mm blades. Because the 114mm blades are wider than the more common 89mm blades, they have more gap between each louvre. This in turn means there are less blades in each shutter panel which not only allows more view, it also allows more light to enter the window giving the illusion of larger windows. The extra light coming in through the windows has another benefit of making the living room feel more light and airy. The perfect match for this beautiful beach side home.
