Haslemere, Petworth Road Bedroom
This is a master bedroom, part of a large two floor extension. We were given a well sized room with large bi folding doors onto a balcony and sky lights to work with. We thought we should keep it light and airy as that is the feeling it already dictated. We began with a beautiful pale oak flooring and almost white walls with a faded grey on the main wall that continues onto the cupboard doors. The colour we chose to have as the feature was a deep green teal colour. This we used on the furniture and the bedding was in a light grey and white. We brought together a lovely look with a mixture of some hand painted pieces, reusing a chest of drawers our client already had. Here we repainted to fit with the look. Using texture like linen, velvet, wool and sheepskin, we kept the feeling light but having a stronger feature colour worked really well.
