An arch display custom wine rack CA (center) serves as the focal point of this wine room. The arch features a whittle board effect, imbuing it with a unique and eye-catching appearance. Our clients opted to use the arch display to showcase an art piece. The solid tabletop connected to the arch serves as a convenient area for decanting and sampling wines. Individual wine racks surround the arch display area. Above the arch is a horizontal storage opening for large format bottles. We installed the cooling unit at the top right section. The middle section consists of horizontal display rows, which pitch the bottles at an angle to keep the cork moist. At the bottom section, you can see the lattice diamond bins and more individual wine racks. The right wall of this Texas residential wine cellar boasts solid horizontal display racks from floor to ceiling. This allows for easy viewing of the wine labels. The back wall is comprised of double deep, solid diamond bins, a reclaimed wine barrel tabletop, a high reveal display row with LED lighting, and individual bottle racks. The racks were crafted from mahogany, finished with an Early American stain and lacquer. The stain brings out the grain of the wood nicely, imbuing the wine room with a warm, natural appeal. The door was manufactured in Oak. The Tuscan style wine cellar door matched the theme of the home. It has a wrought iron grill designed by the client. It was finished with a rustic stain. This wine cellar was decked out with highly durable, moisture-resistant premium redwood custom wine racking CA. The racks were left unfinished, to preserve their natural hue and grain and allow them to age beautifully over time. As you can see, quarter round displays were included for special bottles and accessories. They were situated adjacent to diamond bins, which were utilized for maximum storage. Above the diamond bins is a display row for six bottles. At the top section are openings for storing standard bottles individually. The cooling unit was hidden in a wooden grill cover. Once the sauna parts were removed and the area properly insulated/sealed, our wine cellar builders installed the California custom wine racking. As you can see, the wine tasting table was created from a diamond bin rack. The lattice arch with an art piece in the background is the focal point of the wine room. We also incorporated display rows, individual bottle slots, and a quarter round display rack into the design to create a more appealing wine display. This small wine cellar was actually a closet conversion in the Client's kitchen area. An exterior grade door was installed, room insulated and vapour barriered, cooling unit installed through the wall and then racking put in to house bottles. This was a much preferable option for storing wine than using a typical off-the-shelf built-in wine fridge. Si eres un aficionado del mundo del vino, formas parte de un club vinícola o sientes pasión por las vinotecas, probablemente llegue un momento en el desees tener tu propia bodega clásica en casa. Pero, para ello, hacen falta unas determinadas condiciones. Además, toda bodega casera tiene sus propias reglas en materia de decoración. Si estás buscando ideas para crear una cava de vinos en casa, echa un vistazo a nuestras fotos de bodegas tradicionales y encuentra la inspiración que necesitas.

¿Qué debes tener en cuenta si quieres una bodega en casa clásica?

Obviamente, el espacio es un factor determinante, pues influirá directamente en la decisión de escoger una cava de vinos o, simplemente, una nevera para vinos. También tendrá algo qué decir la habitación en cuanto a las características que esta ofrezca. Si tienes sitio, esto es lo que tienes que tener en cuenta principalmente:
    1. El tamaño de tu colección de vinos: piensa en lo que tienes ya y en cómo tienes previsto que crezca.
    2. El tipo de vino que quieres almacenar: recuerda que solo los vinos de guarda necesitan un cuidado especial. Apuesta por vinotecas pequeñas si no tienes mucho espacio, pero coleccionas vinos delicados y de valor.
    3. La temperatura de la bodega: lo ideal es que se encuentre en torno a los 15 ºC. Si la temperatura es menor, se ralentiza el envejecimiento del vino; pero, si es superior, la vida de este se acorta.
    4. La luz: la bodega debe estar a oscuras o en penumbra. Es mejor iluminar mediante bombillas incandescentes de 60 vatios o con las de bajo consumo.
    5. La humedad: lo recomendable es que de la bodega esté entre el 70 y el 75.
    6. Otros: procura que no haya vibraciones cerca, que se renueve el aire y que las botellas de vino estén lejos de productos con olores fuertes como pinturas, disolventes, etc.

¿Cómo decorar una bodega clásica?

El principal elemento de este espacio son los botelleros. La madera es el material más utilizado para las estanterías destinadas a vinos. Sin embargo, si buscas un toque original para tu bodega de estilo victoriano en casa, siempre puedes apostar por aquellas metalizadas y, para ganar calidez, añadir elementos tradicionalmente asociados con el vino. Por ejemplo, carteles vintage de marcas conocidas, barricas o cajas de vino que, además, pueden servirte como mesas auxiliares. Independientemente de tu elección, asegúrate de que las botellas están dispuestas de manera que el vino pueda oxigenarse y recuerda reservar un armario o estante para los accesorios que utilizas más frecuentemente, como el sacacorchos o el decantador.
