Edge Bank Renovation
I took the bold decision to paint one of the walls in this peaceful room a dark grey. The rest are a lighter grey and the woodwork is brilliant white. This room is mainly used to relax in in the evening, and it provides a haven from the busy-ness of the house in the daytime. The fireplace has a marble surround, and houses a gas fire. The plantation shutters at the windows solved the problem of fitting curtains in the bay, which would have been too heavy and hidden the original wood panelling. Photo by Katie Levell.
