The homeowners of this house wanted to maintain the open feeling of their space, but add a little more distinction between the different zones of the first floor. By adding a structural half wall with custom shelving, we combined design and function. A large island offers extra prep space as well as plenty of seating for this family of five. French doors and tons of windows add natural light, and twin chandeliers add ambiance and elegance. Traditional lines define the custom cabinetry which houses all of the kitchen's appliances, and a pantry with a frost glass window houses all of this homes kitchen needs. Photo by Chris Amaral.
