Bespoke Desk - St John`s Wood, NW8
A contemporary desk designed for our Clients in St Johns Wood, NW8.
The objective was to design the desk that can be as large as possible in this unusual crammed space without blocking it too much and at the same time to look as light as possible with a bit of character.
We proposed a desk that fronts are painted in the same colours as walls and all panels cut at 45 degrees to each other, and to add a character we proposed bespoke American black walnut veneered tops , sides and interiors of the cabinetry.
The desk feature 1 large soft close drawer, little curved drawer and 2 cabinets on the side for computer and storage.
We wanted to show a correlation between both furniture without them looking as 2 separate units thrown into space. We achieved this be adding a 3rd piece of open shelving made entirely of walnut.
