83rd Street, Burr Ridge IL
This first floor remodel in Burr Ridge, IL had a specific inspiration: Biedermeier style furniture. Taking a cue from the client’s collection of antiques, the custom cabinetry was chosen to compliment the entire living space.
The cabinetry was designed to fill to the 10’ ceilings, with a strict eye kept on all the individual and collective cabinet proportions. Clever storage solutions are tucked behind the beautiful cherry doors, making this smaller space as functional as possible. The areas void of cabinetry are as esthetically important as the cabinet pieces themselves: focal points that incorporate the black accent color.
While the countertop stayed monochromatic, the entertaining area went darker and more dramatic. This piece offers a second sink and wonderful drawers, as well as a truly stunning display feature, exactly in keeping with the home’s décor.
Well worth the time invested, this unique kitchen is a vital element in the home’s décor, and showcases the client’s personal taste perfectly.
