2012 Home updates: Professional Woman & Daughter
The headboard’s more vintage, Parisian scrollwork was first reoriented by rotating it 90 degrees counter-clockwise for better symmetry and views of the room’s fireside sitting area and outdoors. Then it was reinterpreted and “dressed” as a daring, ethereal, transparent, illusionary “faux-poster bed” from slinky, sheer fabric with all the colors in her mother’s painting, and thus “lifting” and removing the heaviness from the room! Tassels add an air of royalty, copper lightens the dark wood and mixing metallic finishes offers another update.
Voila! We present the Goddess suite!
