Did you apply a semi transparent stain to the pre stained shingles?

I bought this home last year. The shingles on the West and South wall are losing their stain. I am trying to find the original stain that was used or something that will match. Were the shingles stained or is this how they came? I they were stained to you know if the product was Benjamin Moore? Thank you!! (I love my home by the way!)
