Need help with window treatments

We just completed a 2 year beach house project and love it especially the harbor views. Most of our windows which swing out are mil guard and they have the cranks at the bottom of the sills and locking mechanism in the middle of the frames. We looked into inset honeycomb blinds but the blinds won't come all the way down leaving an ugly gap and when we pull them over the cranks they pull away from the wall. Are drapes the only answer. The large slider needs to have block out blinds or drapes to see the tv and to cut down the heat from the sun.

On your rectangular windows, Hunter Douglas Silhouettes or Pirouettes would keep your view and filter the UV light into your home. Some Luminette privacy sheers would compliment them on the large window with curves and on the sliding glass door.

I can't see the crank so it is difficult to speak to it. Mounting the Silhouettes outside instead of inside might work....it really depends on the crank, it's location and what else is around the window. My best suggestion would be to contact a local window covering pro and let them show you your options. There are so many great products out there but it really looks like Hunter Douglas proprietary products would work best.

By the way....great view!! Don't lose it
