Hanging Light to be replaced. Looking for non-swaying industrial light

Looking for something to replace the previous owners’ MCM hanging light in floating home. Hoping to go more industrial to tie to staircase. Current light has required sticks in vase on table to go up inside light to prevent swaying when boats going past create wakes which are usually mild.

Thinking of a fixed rod but only finding lights with chains.

Not planning to replace ceiling fans.

FYI- Not sure it can be seen but the accent wall in hallway to the left up to top of stairs is going to be painted Narragansett Green - BM.

    Home Depot has numerous pendants with downrods. Of course, you would have to add downrod extensions and lengthen the wires to reach the ceiling electrical box. Note that the top downrod must be hinged at the canopy to allow it to move in all directions so it doesn't break when the house moves.

      I know Bicycle Glass has fixtures with downrods. Not sure if any are industrial enough for you.

      Look at barnlights, Hilite MFG, Troy lighting. Basically, you order what you want to custom length. that being said if you are diy crafty you can add your own rod.

      Note note lol: you also will need a sloped ceiling adpt. I like HiLite for projects like this as they have been specializing in this type of lighting before it was "cool".

      Most of our lanterns / pendants can be made on a fixed rigid stem - and we customize the overall drop to your specification. Please let me know if I can assist you with specific recommendations. I think one of our over-scaled yoke fixtures would look lovely here! There are multiple styles available and all are handmade to order and can be done in gas or electric.
