composting bin

I know that your client is using this as a garbage but I think it would be a brilliant idea to have a compost bin under the hole (this would also not be a hygiene issue as other people seem to be concerned about). I am wondering, though, how you wash the chopping block.

    the chopping block is removable. It is routed to fit the top of the drawer box.

      As a compost shoot, perhaps a lid can be placed so that when not in used, a homeowner can easily close and open as needed. A great idea, nonetheless.

      I also love this. I would love this with a compost bin under the hole. Bin would need to be small and light enough to easily transport outside.

      Rev-a-shelf has a few options for pull out bins that have compost bins as well as trash and recycling bins. Great for DIY project. I love this idea so before I ordered my cabinet, I probably would have ordered one with the shallow drawer. My mistake was to order my cabinet before checking the dimensions of the system I wanted. There are not many options for a single door 24" cabinet.
