Amazing remodel! Question about wood ceiling - main living area

Beautiful transformation of the home! Was the orange (pine?) ceiling refinished, or were the boards replaced? If refinished, what process is used? Sanding, waxing, staining? Thank you-

    Thank you very much! In the living room, the field was an orange pine. We sanded and stained the existing wood a light gray to get rid of the dated orange color while still maintaining the visualization of the wood grain. All of the beams were replaced with reclaimed barn wood from Canada and a center beam was added in order to hang chandeliers for additional light. Hope that helps.     This is so helpful and validates the route I was heading with my 1970's knotty pine ceiling that could use some love. Your work is lovely. Thank you for sharing!
