Help for long and narrow living and dining area

Hi guys. I've read wonderful advices and solutions here in Houzz and I was hoping I'd receive one too for my dilemma.
As you can see from the photo, we have a long and narrow living/dining area. we use the living room alot and this where the TV is. I wanted to make the fireplace the focal point so i placed the TV above it. However, the only place to put our 2 seater sofa (with chaise) and still have an optimum viewing distance is up against the wall, across from the fireplace. But then this arrangement blocks the walkwau from the front door.
This is doing my head in. Help please
