Black Walls ... We Need to Know!

Black walls are not the most common choice for interiors, but we want to know how you feel about them!

Amazing! Black walls let other colors pop, especially metallics!
They could be a nice accent... but a whole room is overwhelming.
No thanks! I prefer a bright space.

    I love black walls, especially when walls are paneled. You do need to carefully layer colors to add dimension and contrast, though.

      I do like dark walls sometimes and I've seen some navy and charcoal that I might do in the future. But black is going just a little too far for me. My brother had black bedroom walls when he was a sullen teenager and they looked nothing like the nice rooms in these pictures but I still can't get past it.

      black for accents, but a whole room needs a deep color other than black.

      I love deep colours but I find black too harsh. Midnight navy, chocolate brown, jungle green, aubergine all work. But black is just too depressing in large amounts.

      I recently painted one wall in my kitchen/ dining room black and love it.

      I love it in powder rooms, paired with white fixtures. I think it's a little much in most larger spaces.

      I just did a client’s dining room in black, dark with a slight blue undertone. The room has lots of windows(view is beyond gorgeous) and lots of white woodwork. The room is stunning.
