looking for ideas for window treatments for our new home

In the PNW, so need lots of light but also privacy. Don't want to have had to dust blinds or window coverings. We like "Pop", so texture is cool with us. We are looking at woven wood shades but they all seem to be a little too yellow. And now we are not sure what to do. Love shutters, but fear they will be too dark.

Our house has a lot of varied grays on the finishes, white cabinets, but our furniture is all natural woods.

    I recommend Hunter Douglass Silhouette. There are several knock-off brands at a lower price-point also.

    If Silhouettes are too pricey or you need to be able to wash the window coverings easily, look at textured sheer curtains, shirred at 2.5-3x fullness. Textured sheers don't show pulls from cat claws or dog chewing as readily as plain weave, if that's a concern.

    wovEn woods are a great choice because they are so versatile and offer texture and interest. I have woven shades that come in lighter colors and not yellow at all! Here a sampling of some of the wovens I have.

    Shutters IMO block too much light, need forever dusting and block views and look good in very few houses.
