Which coffee table work best in our space.

I have two coffee tables, and we're not sure which one works . The wood/glass rectangular coffee table or modern steel and glass coffee table? Thank you.

      This does not look like a huge space to me I would do the steel and glass but I would choose some more fun pillows in colors from the art

      Agree with #1. It anchors the setting and gives you somewhere to place your books. I like the contrast with the "edginess" of the other pieces in the room. Very nice!

      Option #2 - your space is cool and different and the first table seems a little pedestrian. P.S. that painting is awesome!

      If you're keeping your current rug I'd go with your first option.
      If you'll be getting a rug with a pattern or color, I'd go with your second option.

      Squeal, is that a teeny tiny dog on your pillow in the first pic? Soooo sweet...

      Option #1 for me, and not cuz of the dog. I like its presence in the room and the books on the bottom shelf add interest and coziness. It also lets the rest of your furnishings star. The second one wants all the attention but it is too flimsy to hold it. I like the table too, just not here.

      Option#2. Definitely. The inverted pyramid shape legs, glass top go well alongside the mid century modern decor, lamp, funky painting you have in the first picture.

      Number 1 looks perfect! The furnishings all look balanced with the wood and glass coffee table. Your room looks so cozy and well designed.

      I don't think the second choice works at all for your room.
