We are redoing our master bath and will have electric heat in main bath but contractor said can't heat shower floor. Our shower area will be 11.5x5 with high ceilings.

Our TempZone heating product can be used in the shower to heat your floor to your desired comfortable level. Yet it is important that your contractor ask the local Authority Having Jurisdiction. Heating the shower floor is not against the National Electric Code and if the local AHJ says it is allowed, then you should be able to heat the shower floor. Our heating cable has passed the stringent UL testing, allowing it to be rated for Wet Locations in Canada.

    We hope this info helps!

We offer unique, low-voltage systems which have been rigorously tested and are ETL listed for installation in shower floors, walls, and benches. Happy to provide more information if interested.

Thanks for the question. The shower floor is heated with an electric cable system. The shower is on a separate thermostat from the other part of the bathroom floor. City of Seattle code requires the installation be completed by a licensed electrician and signed off by a City of Seattle inspector prior to cover.
