Need Design advice on kitchen colors

Help! This is my first renovation and my wife and I have no clue what we're doing!!!

About to move into a new condo and plan to replace existing countertops with ceasarstone frosty carrina. The cabinets are dark brown but plan to change that to white in 6 months or so (can't afford that right now). There is currently no back splash - just dry wall. So, we were going to go with white subway tile, but between the frosty carrina counters and eventual white cabinets, will that be too much white? Any thoughts from you lovely design experts is greatly welcome!!

You should wait and do the cabinets first. They will have one of the biggest color impacts in your kitchen so they should come first. When you see the big picture of the new cabinets, it will affect how you see your counters. The same with the backsplash - it should come last because seeing the countertops in place may change up your vision a bit. Once the countertops are in, make the final backsplash decision.

Would you ever consider a light gray for the cabinets instead of white?

Except for the back splash, painting the cabinets should be done last in a kitchen upgrade. The appliances and counters should be installed first. Newly painted cabinets can be damaged or scratched when an old counter is taken off and a new one is installed. If you are concerned about an all white kitchen being "too white", you could paint your lower cabinets a light or medium gray color and the top cabinets white. You could also get a back splash that is gray and white. Or you can paint the walls a soft gray to break up an "all white" feel.

Are you planning to paint or change the cabinets???

Cabinets are in good shape since they're only about 8 years old - just not a fan of the color, so was planning to just get new doors. Something lighter and more modern. Not going to tackle that for another 6 months or so, as we are planning a gut renovation of our master bath before moving in so that's taking up all of our time/attention/money!
