Help for awkward living room!

We just purchased this house and are unsure how to configure furniture. We are planning on getting rid of the wood mantle, replacing it with stone facing floor to ceiling, and mounting a flat screen above it. Because it is our main living space I'd like to put one of our condo sized couches facing the tv and fireplace in the opening between pillars with room on either side for traffic. Then another couch on the long wall where the big couch is in the photo, and either one large chair with a table or two smaller chairs and a table. Thoughts????

Si no te obstinas por poner fotos tuyas variadas y pequeñás, puedes encargar un vinilo autadhesivo, con una imagen de la más alta definición, que haga tu instrumento, o comprar alguna en un banco de imágenes. Procuras que la parte alta izquierda sea lo más neutra posible y pegas la imagen sobre el paramento completo, incluso sobre el frente del split. El resto, puedes hasta pintarlo a spray del color que requiera, para camuflarse mejor....Ver másPls help with floor plan design

As you can see in the picture, we are creating the kitchen room at the left bottom side and keeping a garden at the left upper. I gather you haven't bought chairs yet. I would do one or two on the wall where the TV is now. The furniture you've selected is very neutral and matchy matchy, so I would look for something with a little more interest and some color.

hace 11 añosI was going to go for a colour pallet like this one using the existing freshly painted sandy coloured walls with my gray sofas and teal accents and throw pillows for a pop of colour. Do you think I'd be better with cream chair(s) or should I go for a print?
