Our fabricator calls it Typhoon Bordeaux but be careful with the names of granites. The stone industry doesn't have standardized names. Stone patterns are assigned by either the quarry or the fabricator and a lot of times, the fabricator changes whatever a stone's given name is to whatever they're used to calling it. As a result, granite names tend to vary from region to region and from fabricator to fabricator. To add another layer of complication to it, stone colors and patterns shift around depending on from where in a granite formation a slab is cut.

Your best bet is always to go to a stone yard and look at slabs then find one you like. To describe this one generically, it's a Brazilian stone with moderate movement, a cream color base with black incursions and swirls of brown, gold and burgundy.

    Does that help?
