Need Help With My Entry Way

I finished decorating my living room (thanks to all your advise), Now I am trying to figure out what to do with the entryway. There is a large closet to the right when you come in. Straight ahead is the living room, and to the right is hallway. I am going to be resurfacing the floors.

    ok.Then you can decorate your closet doors or paint or use wallpaper

      Do you have room for a console under the mirror on the left? I would add a rug also.

      If you look at the second pic you see the small wall in front of window..small area. There has to be something I can do with the doors...closet....something to add design and interest. It's so blah!

      i'd look for a storage piece of furniture, like a chest of drawers or cabinet piece to set under the mirror...this is a great piece for an entry as it offers a surface for a table lamp, a space to set your keys, mail, glasses, gloves etc. and a spot to store them all out of sight so the entry stays neat and orderly. i'd also love to see a seat, to offer a spot to take off/put on shoes.....if this space is adjacent to your finished living room, take a neutral color from the LR rug, and make it the primary color for the entry, then add a few touches of the blue to create a nice flow.

      Thank you everyone for the pics with ideas...The wall under the mirror by the window is 38 ". Not a very big space. If I put something there...the wall of closet will look even more bare...won't it?

      I love celerygirl's idea of making the closet doors themselves a focal point. Definitely something your guests will notice when they first walk in. And your LR is gorgeous, btw

      Don't go all in with one style. I think you can do more with an international traveler/explorer look with a heavier Spanish Moroccan drive.
