    Much depends upon your ceiling heights & the overall dimensions of the room. The property we were commissioned to work on, had good ceiling heights and the proportions of the room allowed for this solution.
    I would suggest drawing a scaled elevation of the wall & then drawing the door in the space with the dimensions you have outlined - This will then give you have a good visual indication of the how it will sit within the space.
    Certainly this style would work with the dimensions you have given & within quite small spaces, however much depends of on the overall character of the room in which you intend to place it.
