What type of room is it? I might go for a cream / blush color

Thanks for your suggestions! It's my little girls room, she is 2 1/2 and those paintings are huge and the focal point of the room. They are 40x40 each! She has white furniture and the room is a bit small.

A very pale green or pale lavender would compliment the paintings. Pale green will bring out the pink and the lavender will bring out the yellow.

What's her favorite color? If she's a pink fan, a pale pink would look great. Really any pale color would work. Give her a couple options and let her pick.

I would go with a pale pink, also. Pink is a color that calms and little girls love it!

i love the wide stripe idea, just not in pink. it would be Too Much with those lovely paintings. tone on tone ivory would be nice too.

Yes the stripes are very nice but not with your art that is modern.

With choosing a paint color does anyone have a specific light pink or lilac recommendation? I have gone to the Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams site and have uploaded the pictures to try out different colors, but am still having a hard time. I was originally thinking a light grey would be pretty too... Would that be a mistake? I'd like to accent with pops of color from the pictures and keep the walls light and calming.

Here is a picture of the curtains I have in her room. I think they compliment the paintings well.

With the curtains in mind, should I do a light pink, lilac, or any other color for the walls?

pick a light yellow or light pink out of the painting either works well,
if it's a little girls room pink will be more soothing.

Benjamin Moore Misty Lilac or Sugarplum might work.

Sherwin Williams has a pink named Innocence that they call a neutral more so than a pastel. I'm in love with the colour and have been planning to do up a girly guest room with it.

I wouldn't do pink but what about white? Or pale yellow as has been mentioned?

After seeing the curtains, I would go with a pale yellow. Benjamin Moore little angel is pretty. Not sure if it's the right one, but, you could pull out the palest yellow from your prints. I don't think a stripe would work with the prints - may be a little too busy. Curtains are fabulous!

Love the curtains! I'd still probably choose pale pink for the walls. I don't want to recommend a color since they appear different on screen. I would just pick up a bunch of swatches and tape them to the wall. If you prefer white walls, I'd paint the ceiling yellow.

Please do not use gray in the room at all. I say a bright pink or yellow. I can't give names of colors. Buy sample cans & paint on poster boards to try at different times of the day. Have fun

BM Touch of Pink would also work. Ex.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I'm going to get some swatches of the recommended paints and go from there. No stripe, just color! I'm thinking I'll start with the light pink and see what works best!

I love the prints and your drapes! Honestly if you want a more professional look...go for the turquoise that's in the artwork for the walls. It will contrast and pop the pink. If you go pale pink it will look fine, but not a wow room.

Some photos to show you the general idea

Beautiful contrast laurakdesigns! Do you know what paint colors were used in the Blywood Street Residence picture (the blue) and in the Tracey Rapisardi Design photo? The pink color is about spot on with the pictures and the fabric.
