Estate Home in Metro Jacksonville Florida. Renovation project to update a traditional kitchen. An existing sun porch was opened into the kitchen, by removing the window, we created a pass to a newly renovated bar/game room. One challenge was to create a bar area that did not restrict the view to the back yard from the family room. We raised the floor in the sun room to align with the interior floor level but kept the area behind the bar on slab level. This provided for a 30" bar top for chair seating, and a standard counter height behind the bar for the appliances.
