Tree Haus Renovation

A late 1970's home with good bones and spectacular views of the Steamboat Ski area was gutted to bare studs, reconfigured, and crafted into a comfortable mountain retreat.

The Entry Feature was added, and serves as guest entrance, as well as a sitting room for guest bedrooms located at ground level. All walk out to patio that enjoys Steamboat Ski area views.

Original Entry was incorporated into garage to provide parking for two cars. New entry feature was added on the "sunny" side of the house.

While original Great Room was very sunny, there was no immediate access to the exterior roof terrace & upper decks. Electric baseboard heating was replaced with radiant heat, fireplace was relocated, and terrace doors added to reach the roof terrace.

Original stone fireplace which blocked the Kitchen from the rest of the Great Room. Dropped Glue-Lam beam was removed and replaced with Steel beam to create a smooth ceiling plane.
