TORRET

Contemporary House on the Southern Coast of Menorca

This project tries to harmoniously blend modern design with the natural beauty of its surroundings, creating a serene retreat that invites relaxation and enjoyment.

The house is thoughtfully divided into distinct day and night zones, seamlessly connected by two charming patios featuring each one a majestic olive tree. This design not only enhances the flow of the home but also celebrates the Mediterranean lifestyle, allowing for both privacy and communal spaces and natural ventilation.

Every room in this home is oriented to capture stunning views of the sea, ensuring that the beauty of the landscape is always within sight. Whether you’re in the kitchen, living room, or bedroom, the ocean serves as a constant source of inspiration.

Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. These large openings flood the home with natural light while offering unobstructed views, making it feel as if you are living within nature itself.

The open kitchen is designed for both functionality and social interaction, encouraging gatherings and culinary creativity. Its connection to the living areas makes it an ideal space for entertaining family and friends.

The design embraces a “less is more” philosophy, utilizing a carefully selected palette of materials: natural stone, warm wood, soft jute, and sleek glass. This choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also fosters a sense of tranquility throughout the home.

The two patios provide intimate outdoor spaces that invite relaxation and reflection. The central olive trees serve as a beautiful focal point, embodying resilience and peace while offering shade on warm sunny days.
