The clients knew they wanted to build on their home’s overall coastal vibe with their freshly remodeled bathrooms.

The goal for this particular bathroom was to keep the space masculine yet not heavy, a modern take on coastal. This was in part accomplished chromatically through the use of mid-range tones; the atmosphere is neither light nor dark, but a masculine neutral.

Opening up the layout was central to this project. The vanity was originally in a different location, across from the shower rather than next to it. Relocating the vanity created more floor space in the middle, providing the visual opportunity to utilize a herringbone pattern.

The tub was removed and the shower was expanded into a walk-in shower to make the best use of the available space. The shower also has unique flooring, a glass mosaic hex with a multi-colored driftwood finish.

This bathroom is now perfectly aligned with the rest of the home’s design aesthetic, a crisp and clean space for a man to start or end his day in!
