Mi próximo proyecto: The whole house
Quién soy: I am not a decorator. I use Houzz to collect and share what I like. Life would be much easier if I had a speck of design talent flowing through me, but I don’t. Thus, I must leave it up to those who do have talent. I do know what I like, but I am unable to conceptualize space, understand scale or how to balance a room. Thankfully there are interior designers with those necessary skills!
I am unable to label my style. It is a wide spectrum - glam, traditional, industrial, and transitional. Does that make it eclectic? However, I would do many things different if my space were not a traditional home. Much of my style is predetermined based our the home. It was built with traditional trim and fixtures. I have to note that with the help of a designer we choose all new light fixtures. For those who do not know, it is not just a matter of choosing the lights, next is the coordination of the installation. – The height, what art they may block, etc. I recommend all novice homeowners use designers. The decisions and details are never ending!
Most important to my space is my art. However, I don’t put much weight into matching a room to the art in the room. I have always loved art and collecting art. Unfortunately, I have grown-up and out of some of my "Starter Art". Fortunately, I am working with a designer with a great idea to display my "Starter Art" as a collection.
