“Would I recommend AJ Wells Roofing Contractors??? In short, ABSOLUTELY! Why? Because I believe Arthur, the president, to be knowledgeable, skilled and a man of integrity. Disaster struck my home in November of 2014 when a large oak tree came crashing down through my house during a violent thunderstorm. The tree crushed half of the roof, came through an exterior wall and crushed the outside A/C unit making my home uninhabitable, particular during the cold winter months. This was my first homeowner insurance claim. I had no real idea of what to expect or really how to get the job of rebuilding my home accomplished. AJ Wells was the third hired contractor. The prior two contractors, although capable of doing the work, weren’t equipped to negotiate and handle the insurance claim, start to finish. And, I had already been out of my home for a few months. When meeting with Arthur, he was confident he could handle the claim and was skilled and knowledgeable through vast prior experiences in navigating through the construction and administrative processes. I did some internet research and found his website to be top notch, as well as the YouTube videos about the company and their work. The website was very informative, educational, user friendly and gave me some ideas of what to expect and how to be prepared for when the work began. Once work commenced, the teams employed and contracted through AJ Wells rebuilt and repaired my home in just a few short weeks as if nothing had occurred. The reconstruction included framing for the structure to the roof and to the exterior corner of the house, exterior lap-board siding along with width and length of the house, electrical, HVAC, and interior finishing. Truth be known, my home is in better condition now than it was before! And, I did not have to fight with the insurance adjusters over the claim. Arthur handled all aspects of the negotiating. Additionally, I did not have to come out of pocket for any funds other than the expenses incurred with the first contractor and the expected deductible. I also believe it noteworthy that I have several pets, both inside and outside. I dreaded the thought that someone let an animal outside, let the dogs out of their containment or there being some sort of accident. I am very happy to report that not once did we have an issue!! AJ Wells and team were simply amazing! Particularly since large portions of my house (roof, ceiling, walls [interior and exterior], and floor) were removed and rebuilt. Not once was there an issue with any of my many beloved pets… When I had questions or concerns, Arthur was very prompt and made himself available to speak with me personally in a professional, informative and comforting manner. I felt like I had a big brother looking out for my family’s interest and well being through the entire process. You just don’t get that kind of assurance working with other contractors. I knew my house and I were in good hands. I truly believe that Arthur genuinely cares for his clients and that he not only stands by his word, but also stands by his work. It has been my privilege to give my testimony of my personal experience. My home is very personal as it is my sanctuary and Arthur and his team put it back together. “I have known Danny Locke for a long time and when I needed a roof, I naturally turned to him. I knew he was an upright guy even before we did business together. I have also experienced first hand the soft spot he has in his heart for making a difference in the community (he volunteered for a social program I ran and was very active in it). I obtained several quotes and Danny's was the best. That pleased me because I already knew I wanted to use his company for the roof work. I know and trust Danny whereas I don't know the other guys so it would have been harder to trust them. Danny explained my choices along with the processes that would occur. I would have never imagined anyone would notice a new roof; however, a few people on the street have already told me how good the roof looks. I agree, it really does look good. Remember that soft spot I mentioned earlier? Danny shared a personal story about a Safety Patrol student who couldn't afford to make the Washington DC trip; the highlight of the year for the troops. Danny decided to cover the expenses for this one student. From that experience, Danny set up a program to send one or more Safety Patrol students to Washington who wouldn't be able to afford to go. It is being funded with $100 from each roofing job. I'm not surprised. I may sound like a cheerleader for Danny and Locke Roofing, and I guess I am because my experience was just as I wrote it here. But knowing Danny the way I do, I believe I received the same service as anyone because that is just the way he is. Bill David”
