“Update: The owners of the company both called me and took time to understand the problems, both with the fireplace and with communication. One owner and a sales person came to our home and helped diagnose the problem and even got it going for a few days with the battery pack. The service tech and electricians came out about a week later and found the problem was apparently a faulty receptacle installed with the insert, they replaced that and now it works fine. It has added a lot of warmth to our home and is very attractive. In spite of the bumpy start I now feel that they did work to resolve the problem to my total satisfaction.
I have never posted a negative review before, but unfortunately I have to say my experiences have been mixed with this company and the products they sell. The initial experience was okay - the showroom sales person knew the products well and was able to discuss them with me knowledgeably. Then it turned out our fireplace did not measure large enough for the inserts I was considering, and we were told we had to accept a smaller insert - fine, we accepted their expertise even though it was not explained to us in full why this was so. The installation was great - the crew was knowledgeable, clean and meticulous. However, 5 days after we had our new Heat-n-Glo Supreme 130-C installed, it failed! It will no longer light. I called the service folks at Fireside Home Solutions and was told they could not get out earlier than the next week to fix it, and they had re-arranged their schedule to try to make that happen for me, in spite of the fact that I could not be home on the day they had arranged. They would not fix it earlier, and part of the reason, I was told, was that they needed to do a 3-day confirmation call - I was told this _on the phone_, while talking to someone who could confirm the appointment! I just spent $3500 on an insert that _does not work_, and I would caution anyone about buying this insert and dealing with this company - be sure you understand how their service plan works before hoping to enjoy your new gas fireplace!”

“We had our tension rod split in half after a big wind storm, it was a very old door. They were able to come out the very next day. The technician was polite and arrived on time. He assed the issue, replaced the needed parts and serviced all the others. He was quick and efficient, the whole process took less than an hour. Plus the new system is so quiet, doesn't bother sleeping little ones! We are very pleased and would use or recommend them over and over!!!”

“I had 6 estimates for my whole house window replacement. I let those sit for 6 months - too many choices and designs to decide on. I was overwhelmed. I then asked R & L to come back for a second time because 1) this is a local, smaller company and 2) Adam, the salesman who did the 1st estimate, was very professional and thankfully, patient. He was the only one to suggest and offer inside trim and he actually taped up a grid design so I could 'see' what my windows would look like. None of the others did this, only told me that I should. The install was completed in one day and was very efficient. My windows are beautiful and the inside trim, which I lacked prior, really added charm to my home's interior. That was a bonus.”

“As the senior structural designer on one project, and design manager on a following project, I worked closely with the Glasshape team on the specification, installation and approval of a large number (100+) of marine glazing panels.
Marine glazing is particularly challenging due to the harsh environment and very high quality standards required by both the client and the approval authorities.
The Glasshape team were a pleasure to work with right from the initial phase of the projects, through to completion. They provided additional technical and practical assistance to wherever possible to assist in obtaining classification society approval. The laminated glazing panels performed above design requirements during testing which was very re-assuring, and is a testiment to the quality of the final product (the testing requirements for the glazing panels required some significant pressure tests). The panels provided my Glasshape represent some of the highest quality marine glazing I have witnessed during my 14 years in the industry.
The delivery times were as discussed during the development of the project, and any alterations to the original specification and quote were discussed and agreed in a timely and professional manner.
I would not hesitate to work with Glasshape again, or to recommend them to others.”

“I purchased a "Modern Classic" 8' x 8' Aluminum frame garage door with Tempered Satin Etch glass lites. A sales representative came out to the house to inspect the opening and ceiling height in order to make sure that the door & hardware would fit properly. A couple of small modifications to the framing were needed in order to install the new unit.
The door was installed by Northwest door service techs, along with a Liftmaster 1/2HP belt-drive opener and keyless entry pad. They came out and had everything up in running in about 3 hours time. Job well done!”
